This Book Will Change How You Feel About Climate Change

It’s a novel. Will we let it become reality?

Have you read “The Road” by Cormac McCarthy?

I bought it for my youngest son. But he never read it and by chance, I picked it up the other week.

Now I can’t stop thinking about it.

Sometimes you read a book, and the timing makes it stand out with the force of lightning at night.

“The road” is the story of a father and his son as they walk through a post-apocalyptic world where everything is dead.

A world where everything is covered in ashes.

They struggle to stay alive, in a world with no future.

A world without birds singing, without green grass, and without hope.

Just the wind, filled with grey dust.

And small packs of the few surviving human beings. Turning on each other, as a result of the famine.

Reading this novel chilled me to the bones.

Because as I read it, the fires in Greece kept escalating.

And the latest climate report confirmed that what little time we have left to turn things around… is quickly running out.
